INTERCONTINENTAL CONFERENCES
Bulletin No. 1
Announcements of places and other details concerning the five Intercontinental Conferences will appear in Bah@i News from time to time. The December issue (page 4) announces the dates of the Chicago Conference — May 2, 3 and 4, immediately following the three-day Annual Convention in Wilmette, April 29, April 30, and May 1.
The January issue (page 9) announces the dates of the Confer- ences in Kampala and Sydney, with information regarding reserva- tions. The exact dates of the Conferences to be held in Frankfurt and Djakarta have not yet been received but they will take place in July and September respectively, as designated by Shoghi Effendi,
Make Plans Promptly to Attend
Travel and hotel arrangements for the Chicago Conference are to be made by the individual believer himself. All meetings except the devotional gathering on the afternoon of May 2, will be held in the Eighth Street Theatre, 741 South Wabash Avenue, Chicago. This is close to the Conrad Hilton Hotel, to public transportation and to parking areas. No attempt is being made to provide meals at the Theatre since there are many dining rooms and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
The friends are urged to make their hotel reservations three months in advance, that is by February 1, 1958. A deposit must accompany the request for reservations in order to guarantee the room or rooms. The letter should indicate that the writer will attend the Baha’i Inter- continental Conference May 2, 3 and 4.
The following list of hotels have signified willingness to accept
reservations under conditions mentioned above and at the rates in-
dicated.
