Getting started

Welcome to bahai.works. This page is intended to help you become familiar with this site, and if you want to help with editing, proofreading or participate in some other way enable you to do that as well. If you would like to send us material for digitization see this page.

Under the main menu the "Content" dropdown categorizes all content on the site. The majority of this content fits into the periodicals category. Other categories have been created as the result of receiving a variety of material for digitization.

Creating an account

If you would like to help improve the site in some way you may want to create an account. Anonymous editing is possible but your IP address will be accessible in page histories.

Where to begin contributing

If you would like to help with proofreading you just need to find something interesting that you'd like to work on. The category "pages needing proofreading" is used for record keeping.

Editing

At the top of pages that can be edited is a pencil and notepad icon. Clicking it will take you to the edit form. The edit form functions like a word document, but changes are not saved until you click "save page" which is a blue button at the bottom of the page. Changes are recorded into the page's history. Between the edit icon and the search bar are three dots. Clicking that reveals a drop-down where you can find page options, including page history. Each edit becomes a revision that can be compared with others.
