"Therefore all the friends must dispatch the financial obligations of the Cause with the utmost joy and spirituality." ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.
The following is an excerpt from a letter written by Mr. Randall, and which accompanied his Treasurer’s report:
It is hoped that every one can have a copy of each issue of the Bulletin because the trip of Jenabe Fazel through the United States and Canada is probably the most important narrative of spiritual record that has concerned this country since the visit of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá in 1912, and will be one of the illuminating pages in the history of the Bahá’í Cause of this Continent. It will constitute a precious chapter in the foundation of the Bahá’í world of America, and we hope that those who are able may increase their contributions, and that the list of contributors ... greatly increase, which will permit a much larger circulation of these Bulletins.
"At the present time there are 241 regular monthly contributors, including individuals and Assemblies. This is probably but a small percentage of the number of Bahá’ís in America, and the supporting list could easily be double its present number and the spiritual value of the Teaching program be greatly multiplied.
"If we could follow ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s desire, we would have a thousand regular teachers in the field. We have but five: and to follow up the inestimable work of Jenabe Fazel, many wise and competent teachers are urgently needed immediately, for we cannot permit the Light to grow dim in those Centers where the Lamp of GOD has been shining in glory.
"‘Abdu’l-Bahá has greatly blessed this Teaching work, and confirmed the Teaching Committee in many ways.... The signs of unity are dawning. The foundation of the Mashrakol-Azkar will soon appear, and may these words of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá become realized: "Verily, the Glad-tidings of GOD have encompassed ‘Abdu’l-Bahá from all directions. While His heart is beating with the Love of GOD, He holds a Cup full of the Knowledge of GOD in His right hand and wishes to give the seekers to drink of this Wine, so that they may, perchance, be exhilarated with this Cup which is over-flowing with the Signs of GOD."
