"Consider how great is the value and how paramount the importance of the Verses (The WORD). . .. To the people they are everlasting proof, fixed argument, and shining light from the Presence of that Ideal King. No excellence equals them and nothing precedes them. They are the Treasury of divine pearls and the Dsepository of the Mysteries of Unity. They are the strong thread, the firm rope, the most secure handle and inextinguishable Light." Baha'o'llah.

"Praise be to GOD the field of the Cause is vast and limitless."

A continuation of the sweet story of the proclamation of the Message of GladTidings by Jenabe Fazel, brings us to Yestern Canada. Miss Marion Jack is the pioneer in this corner of the Vineyard, We will see how through Divine Confirmations she hag taken some virgin soil and brought it under cultivation. We will see also how radiantly she responded to the Call. Abdul Eaha has instructed us in detail about the work in Canada and the need for teachers, and in three or four of the Tablets he has told us that "the future of the Dominion of Canada is very great", "Her future is most brilliant." Miss Jack has demonstrated that she has wonderful pioneer qualities, and that she is a loyal, magnanimous and devoted teacher. From all reports we believe she has tried "to achieve some new service every day" and has “removed svery obstruction from the path of the promulgation of the Word of GOD," The long weeks and months that she stood with firm feet serving alone in that City called for intense sincerity of purpose, miraculous efforts and extraordinary exertions, The Knowledge of GOD was her guide and the Center of the Covenant her Protector.

When the great work of preparation for the visit of Jenabe Fazel was started, Miss Jack was joined by the radiant and devoted sister, Mrs. Laura luther and together they have served like heavenly angels. Doors were opened for them, hearts were receptive, the Ideal Power of the Kingdom paved the way, the Promises of the Center of the Covenant were fulfilled. |

We can read in Mirza Ahmad Sohrab's record in his "Diary Card" reports which follow, how a baptism of the Holy Spirit was vouchsafed unto the City of Vancouver and its environs through the visit of the revered teacher, Jsenabe Fazel, The establishment of the Cause on a firm basis is the reward, from the Divine Court of Holiness, for all the blessed servers.

Hotel Grosvenor, Vancouver, B, C., January 31st, 1921.

Vancouver. is a lovely city with rare scenic beauties of mountains, valleys forests, sounds and narrows, giving a soul every opportunity to enjoy this delectable paradise of nature, It has a population of 180,000 and yet it is a young city of 34 years. Jenabe Fazel arrived thie morning with Mr. G. Latimer and was warmly welcomed by Miss M. Jack and Mrs. Luther. They felt the joy and happiness of the New Day. A friend took them in his auto to Grosvenor hotel and the report[Page 2]Dan

ers called to receive interviews. Yesterday's Sun contained a long article illustrated by Miss Jack and written by Mrs. J. L. Dunn, both having met Abdul Baha,

At noon Jenabe spoke at O'Brien Hall before a fine audience on Economics. The listeners were greatly interested and expressed the longing to know more about the Cause. In the afternoon a Miss Harvey took Jenabe and party for a ride through the National Park. Magnificient old trees still exist -- as large as the Redwood of California, They pointed out to him the tomb of an Indian poetess -- the last voice of a dying race, a gentle sweet maiden who wrote pathetic and sad poems. Returning from the drive he was taken to the apartment of Mrs. Harvey where a number of guests were invited to meet him. They asked many questions and received marvellous, satisfying answers. In the evening at the large auditorium in O'Brien | Building more than a thousand had gathered to listen to the message of universal brotherhood. They were sitting on the steps, standing all around; a most imposing, inspiring gathering. Mr. England and Miss ‘Thitell presided, and Mr. Latimer gave a beautiful short talk on the Cause introducing the speaker from the East. "We must look forward and not backward, upward and not downward, heavenward and not earthward. The white dawn of a New Cycle will lie in the union of all the constructive forces of the world." The vast audience sat spell bound with the poetry, beauty and magnetism of Divine Truth. For this city for the first time, it was an undreamed of, heavenly triumph. Miss Jack Was gloriously rewarded for all her faithful work. She was full of ecstacy. No sooner was the talk over, than all the people rushed to the platform to shake hands with the spiritual teacher. All the literature and the printed programs of the meetings were grabbed and after a minute nothing was left. Only the power of Abdul Baha brought about such a "monster crowd who longed for the Bahai Cause."

Having reached the highest point in the North on this trip, the interest of the people also has arisen to the highest summit. Jenabe Fazel certainly has Captured the hearts of the inhabitants of Vancouver, With the language of Love and the magnet of Truth he draws all hearts to the Kingdom of Abha, These gouls are cer~ tainly hungry. The papers today, the Sun and the Province and the World gave accounts of the meeting of last night. One paper says: "Many who attended were unable to secure admission and many sat on the stairs and lined the corridors," "Persian philosopher compels rapt attention." It was indeed a strange and pathetic Sight to see these people striving for the higher truth, unsatisfied, hagzard, longing, trying to break their limitations and find hope, love, peace. Today the same story repeated itself with a more dramatic emphasis. Lone beiore the noon hour the hall and corridors were filled, -- seats were at a premium. He spoke on "Material and Spiritual Healing." Then immediately afterwards he was motored to New Yestminister, 12 miles distant from Vancouver, to speak before the Kiwanis Club of that city. There were more than a hundred men from all lines of professions and trades present and Jenabe delivered an inspiring talk on the appearance of Baha'o'llah and His ideals of International brotherhood. Aftsr the talk he was brought back, and according to the English custom, afternoon tea was served, and several people called to ask guestions about the Cause. Mr. Goodstone, a talented young man who speaks about le languages, has become very much attractsd and will no doubt in time arise in service; likewise Mr. Walker, who is an earnest seeker after Truth. At 8 o'clock Jenabe Fazel gave his lecture on the "Ideals of the New Age," in Duncan Building before the Theosophists. Here also a crowded spectacle welcomed him, all the available seats taken, people lined around the wall, sitting on the platform, standing in the corridors and other rooms -- glad if they could hear only the voices of the Speaker. Nothing like it has been witnessed by the people of this city. These are the Pentacostal days; the powers of the Holy Spirit are descending uninterruptedly. No pen can describe, no tongue can e4plain, -- only the heart can feel and understand. The sea of spirituality is set in motion on this Continent, and it is the

time for the Bahais to feed these hungry souls. After witnessing these scenes, -there is not the slichtest hesitation; for the duty of the lovers of humanity is plain. With immortal courage, with unveiled Spiritual perception, with brotherliness for all, with eager enthusiasm, with divine endurance, with brave declaration of Principles, -- the Bahais mst pave the way to the Temple of Wisdom and Truth, justice and perfection,

Hotel Grosvenor, Vancouver, B. C., February 2d, 1921. Nothing is more significant than the extraordinary interest of the people,

in the Cause. No one could guess that Vancouver would show so much enthusiasm in the Sahai Movement. This morning Jenabe Fazel spoke in O'Brien Hall on Divine Healing. His explanation of four kinds of cures was so apt that every one felt happy over it. Immediately afterwards with Mr. Latimer and Mrs. Latimer, he took the ferry boat and went to Yest Vancouver where Mrs. Monroe a fine, Bahai lives. She acted as the guide. The scenery along the bay was matchless; new vistas of mountains, trees and plains opening before ones eyes. The progress of cities along these shores is phenomenal. Janabe spoke to quite a large number of ladies in the home of Mrs. Bryan who was most kind and sweet to the little party. The religion and reality of Jesus Christ was the theme, so dear to the hearts of the lovers of the Master, for the Bahais are the ones who are promulgating this essential doctrine. Having accomplished this spiritual service, Jenabe returned to the city with the evening ferry, to give another lecture at Glencho Lodge, a fashionable Apartment Hotel. The manager becoming interested in the Cause, she desired the guests of her hotel and a number of the elites of the city, to listen to this glorious Message. About one hundred souls were present and the talk was on the history and the Principles. There was a Japanese gentleman who wrote everything Jenabe spoke. A fire was ignited in the heart which will never be extinguished. No sooner was the talk over than the period for questions was opened, and the meeting continued until about l2 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey and Mr. Goodstone made beautiful hosts and hostess. Jenabe felt the great longing of these people for spirituality, freedom from self and attaimnent to the higher stations of Truth. Without doubt the yearning is intense and true, and God is making it possible for them to gain the greater measure of understanding. Mrs. Rose Henderson of Montreal is here, also Miss Madelaine Arent, both Bahais of many years standing, Now that Jenabe has so wonderfully opened all these doors, meetings will be held, classes formed and the development and growth of the Cause will be assured; The séeds are sown; the friends will arise to water them and take care of them. The Light hath shone

and the Truth hath become manifest.

Hotel Grosvenor, Vancouver, B. C., February 3d, 1921.

Love is the divine alchemy and the inspiration of the Almighty. Love is positive force which mirrors all the joys of life. Let your life be impelled by the energy of love. The world is charged with the electricity of love; the ocean of air in which we swim is thrilled with the vibrations of love; without love nothing exists; love is the origin of all phenomena. Think love, live love, drink love, eat love, -- then your life will be beautiful, glorious, sublime and etherial. Love is not blind, it is the all-seeing God. Soar with the wings of love, shine with the stars of love, sing with the heart of love, speak with the tongue of love. Love is eternal, all else is fugitive; love is a lamp, all else is darkness. Let love for the highest inspire your heart. Let love be the celestial passion of your existence. Vithout love you are only flesh and blood, a shapeless mass of carnal desires, a knot of chronic impossibilities. Do not say: "I hepe there will be light", but cry from the depth of the heart: "Let there be light." "The voice that cried, let there be light, hath rent the veil of a darker night, let there de love." This is the supreme mission of Jenabe Fazel in this country; to diffuse the

Fragrances of the rose of love, to impart to every soul the joy and the pleasure of

[Page 4]~ 4.

love, to promulgate the law of love and to advance the cause of love. Today he «.. spoke before three meetings. First in O'Brien Hall on the fulfillment of prophecles, -- both material and spiritual, -- in this glorious day. "All the predictions in the sacred books of the world are fulfilled" he said, "The sun of Reality is Shining from the horizon of Palestine, the Lord of lords hath descended from heaven, all the nations and tribes go to Zion to learn from him the law of love." The second lecture was on International Conciliation before the members of Gyro Club -~ more than 150 young men from all the trades and professions, The President offered a vote of thanks to Dr. Fazel who elucidated the Principles of the Bahai Movement so clearly, The third lecture was before the members of the Bar Association in the Vancouver Hotel. The audience was composed of judges and lawyers and barristers, and the talk of Fazel on the development of law, -- both religious and civil, for the last 14 centuries in Persia, -- interested them greatly. At the end of the talk he told them that the great Lawgiver of the world, the Divine International Jurist, appeared in Persia 75 years ago and His code of International law has attracted the attention of the scholars and thinkers of all countries, His statutes will be placed on the books of all the people, his laws will be the mainspring of Justice, equality and communications between all nations.

Victoria, B, C., February 4th, 1921.

Here in this Island of dream and beauty the call of Ya Baha #1 Abha is raised. It is the Capital of B. C., called "the Island of 1000 miles of wonderland." Its climate is unrivalled with matchless scenery and ideal surroundings, Nature has showered all her charms on the beautiful city of Victoria -- the summer and winter resort of well-to-do tourists, Jenabe Fazel accompanied by Mrs. Luther and Miss Jack left Vancouver at 10:30 on the steamer "Princess Alice." The water distance is about 70 miles dotted with thousand islands, pleasant settlements, snowCapped mountains, The vista closes and opens like magic, always one thinks he has come to the end, but then suddenly an arm of the sea gives us another passage. The Steamer anchored about 3:15 p.m, -- one has a glorious view of the Parliament Building and other tall institutions as he approaches the harbor. Dr. T. W. Butler, Ph, D., the Minister of thé New Thought Temple and Editor of the New Age Herald, _who had invited Jenabe to speak to his Congregation, was at the port with his car, and welcomed Jenabe with open heart, The ladies were taken to the Women's Club, while the rest enjoyed a little period of guiet in the Empress Hotel -- one of the best and most luxurient tourist stopping places, Then Dr. Butler took Jenabe around the city, showing him the residence section, -- clean avenues, fine English hones surrounded with gardens and hedges. It is a city for retiring wealthy bankers and merchants. At & p.m., Dr. Butler called at the hotel and took Jenabe to his Temple, a sweet, pure building, and a large audience welcomed the Persian scholar. The two papers of Victoria, Times and Colonist, announced the meeting, and a nice article was published in yesterday's Times. The lecture was on the "Universal Consciousness of Christ." "All the heavenly prophets were endowed by God with this universal feeling of love for all humanity. They came to bring light and guidance, joy and spirituality. God did not restrict His light to any section of the globe but shone upon all without any distinction. He desired the whole of mankind to receive, peace, happiness, power and love, and banish the armies of sin, Sickness, adversity and pain. They revealed the Truth, held aloft the torch of the indwelling Saviour; but men have misused this Light through the clouds of ignorance and misunderstanding; have hidden it under a bushel. Abdul Baha has come to reveal again this glorious light. "I am the light of the world" -- "Ye are the light of the world" -- "Let your light shine" -- This is the true Light that lighteneth every man that cometh into the world." The same Christ spirit speaks today through the tongue of Abdul Baha asking us to do the same thing.

Today the Bahai Cause and its Principles were presented to an entirely different racial group -~- Japanese and Chinese. Probably there are bout 8 or 10 thousand of these two races, living in Vancouver. They have their own quarter, Stores, homes; and one walking through their streets, would think he was in Shanghai or Tokyo. All the signs on stores are in Chinese and the diminutive celestials and Nipponese have a good time, They have their own newspapers and magazines. The other night a Japanese gentleman attended a Bahai meeting and was so attracted that he invited Jenabe to come to their Club and Speak about the Revelation. They were all young men, keen and alert. The novel part of it was that they had to have a Chinese interpreter, -- thus Jenabe's talk had to be interpreted into two languages before the audience could fully understand him. It was interesting just the same, because the audience listened carefully and understood everything that Was said. All the Chinese and Japanese young men were delighted with the Principles, and wished this Movement to be spread very Quickly all over the world. His talk will appear in the Japanese and Chinese. papers. It was an important gathering and no one Can measure its futufe results. Miss Jack wished to reach them for a long time but no opportunity was presented to her; now they can have other meetings. Here in this Chinese Club they have an Esperanto class of about 50 or 60 students, They are much interested in the universal language. Along with their Esperanto class they will have a Bahai Study class, -- thus the Cause is growing in all directions. For luncheon Jenade Fazel was the guest of Dr. I, Brown, a well known surgeon and a friend of Dr. Yatson of Toronto. He is a follower of the Twentieth Plane and believes his son to be an instrument through whom William T. Stead, Spurgeon and Moody have spoken many things. Therefore all the Conversation, questions and answers were centered around these deep spiritual subjects, materialization, phenomena, higher vibrations and communication, It was altogether a fine meeting and Jenabe Fazel was delighted to meet once more a dear friend of Dr. Yatson whom he loves with all his heart. The rest of the day was devoted to private interviews and calls, So many people desiring to meet Jenabe personally and ask him those questions that trouble them in their actual relations with their fellowmen, The light is

breaking over Vancouver.

In the Bahai Cause -- a vast and invisible power is working, This Power is the most real, dynamic Principle of the Movement. Whosoever gets hold of it, never sits silent, never stands still, never grumbles and criticizes; will think of nothing else but work, constructive, permanent, age-abiding and perennial. When this Power possesses man, it will change him and make him an embodiment of all the divine perfections and virtues. Today Jenabe Fazel is endeavoring to make the Bahais on this Continent the incarnations of this Power, the glorious examples of this Truth, and he has succeeded marvellously, for every where he goes he holds aloft this torch of divine illumination, this light of spiritual success. This morning he spoke under the auspices of Cosmo Cree. Rev, E, Howard Durnin introduced him. The lecture was delivered in the Colonial Theatre and a representative audience listened to the history and the Principles of the Movement. Rev. Durnin, who is the founder of the Cosmo Cree or "Unimantheism" is much interested, His creed is "Science in Religion" -- "Faith, Hope, Charity, Knowledge." At 6:30 Jenabe spoke at the "Get Acquainted Club", a fine institution, its doors open to all strange ers in the city who desire to mest their fellowmen. The subject was: "Persian Art, Ancient and Modern." Many people were there and they all felt the joy of a new vision, a new divine glory. At 7:30, he delivered the third lecture in the hall of the Vancouver Hotel, before more than 800 people on the "New Evidence of life after death." It was under the auspices of Vancouver College of Psychic Science. President Mary Inkpen introduced Jenabe Fazel in a beautiful way and the spiritual vision of immortality presented, captured all the hearts. The audience was ons vast

[Page 6]ey

mass Of moving appreciation, Questions wers asked and answered. The Legends of Vancouver written dy Pauline Johnson was presented.to the teacher as a souvenir,

The fourth talk was given at 9:30 o-m., in the Colonial Theatre before another (Walting audience and thus the work in this city was brought to an end with joyful realization that a nev field is open for the Lord's ministration. Mrs. Luther,

Miss Jack, Miss Madelaine Arent and Mr, Walker were with Jenabe all day. They were happy over the work of regeneration. . Miss Arent is a wonderful nyarse in the General Hospital and has been a Bahai for years, At midnight we bade farewell to these beautiful souls. Miss Arent had brought a box of luscious fruits, a symbol of the fruits of her pure heart. : al

| "Create relationships that nothing can shake; form an Assembly that nothing can break up; have a mind that never ceases acquiring riches’-that nothing can destroy. May the Ligit of divine advancement shine upon yous. This is the glory and the progress of man." . . Abdul Baha, ,

Miss Jack's report of the beautiful services of Jeriabé Fazel and Ahmad, will surely make for happiness and the.joy of the Kingdom. It is a wonderful thing to be allowed to serve! No words can adequately express all that it means in the way of privilege and blessing and Pure Bounty to se of those who, through the Mercy of GOD, are allowed to share in the pioneer work of the Kingdom in this Day. To serve wisely and well is surely acceptable, but to attain unto servitude and Sacrifice is the offering beloved by Him through Whom "the Rays of the Sun of Truth are Still shining." 3

Miss Jack's letter is shared in part, as follows:

"This campaign -- shall I call it? -- of the beloved brothers in Canada has so far exceeded anything I could possibly have imagined or pictured to myself, that I am absolutely spellbound at the wonder of it all; .. . But we have not done this; the Hosts of the: fupreme Concourse have been at work. . . . When you think . that we are both strangers in the place, with absolutely no backing and very little money, you can see that it is indeed God's work. .. . It was heavenly to witness thee arising of the various people who came to our assistance to promote the Cause, For instance, the Unity New Thought friends hired a big hall, and as they are not by any means a rich body, this was a beautiful expression of their great faith in the Alij-Power and Bounty of GOD, The good Theosophist friends banded together and gave their biggest hall. Both of these meetings were packed. Wr. Durnin, Unitarian Minister, hired an expensive theatre both morning and evening, and paid for it from his own pocket, and he too, is far from well-to-do, The Psychic Research Society took the big hall in the biggest hotel hers, and the money in payment for it was subscribed by four of its hard working members. This mesting was also packed, and the Society: and it's President were delighted: One man who had promised the most, almost: danced with joy outside the door as we were leaving, so happy was he at the response, The Get-Acquainted Club, under the Unitarian group here, were very happy over the visit of Dr. Jenabe Fazel, and they, too, had a big gathering. But the one who assisted us most, perhaps, was the brother of Miss Goodstone of Montreal,

a brilliant young lawyer hers, who, although not a Eahai as yst, braved everything (in the way of eccentric behavior meeted out to us by our misunderstanding friends) and worked with astonishing zeal.

"Through the efforts of our dear brother, George Latimer, we had an opening at the Kiwanis Club in another City in British Columbia, YVestminster.

"Then our kind friand, Mr. Durnin, who never met any of us before, offered his services to go all tha way over to Victoria to see Dr. Butler who is leading the Unity New Thought there, and he was so successful that Dr. Jenabe Fazel was invited to speak to their group, -- not in numbers like our luge Vancouver audiences -- because of the shortness of time given for preparation, but it was a most appreciative audience. They eagerly asked questions, the atmosphere wag simply charged with the intensity of their concentration. ... Again the kind iM. [Page 7]ae

Goodstone Served us most faithfully, although he might have subjected himself to the misunderstanding and ridicule of the "smart set" in his own private hotel or apartment hotel, the home of many of the bridge-whist-dancing people of Vancouver. Here he arranged a most successful meeting for Jenabe Fazel and insisted upon the Subject of the Bahai Teachings, The large hall was full and many of the guests were invited to a supper by lirs, Mollison, the owner of the hotel, in her beautiful museum-parlors after the lecture and reception. From the way the guests stayed on and hung about, we could see that this group of people were as charmed as the other Vancouverites who had the treat of listening to our wonderful brother.

"I could continue this little exposition for a much longer:’period. .. Il only wanted to emphasize the point that it is not we who accomplish the work, neither are we the authors of results which come about. We are simply the obedient (or as near to obedient) servants as our state of development permits, who arise to put forth our best efforts; and to prove this I have gone into the details of what was done for us by all these dear friends who were not even friends of ours previous to this work. So if this is not encouraging to other followers of the Beloved who, like myself, are among the most inefficient of the undergardeners, I do not know what more is needed. As the dsar, sweet-souled Jenabe Fazel said last night before he left "what we must do is to work, work, work," This is the greatest message I gained from him, Since dear Laura Luther came, we have indeed worked heart and soul, and gone forth when we were so sick we should have been in bed. I tell you this not to praise ourselves, for I, for one, deserve no praise, but just to encourage others who may feel themselves ill-prepared or inefficient. We do not have to rely upon ourselves; we have but to pray for guidance, and, above all, those prayers written for the whole western world at this moment, in the Divine Plan and then just arise and "get at it." Tha rest is not in our hands. This visit here is the greatest evidence I have ever known and the most complete fulfillment of the promise of God's Assistance. So please tell the dear friends to "take courage in both hands" and as our beloved brother tells us "work, work and work".

"Another wonderful day has dawned for we are beginning to see the harvest already, and these signs are so heavenly that we are even more radiantly happy than we were this morning. I am not going to tell you all just now, but know this much, that there is forming one of the most angelic groups of Bahais in all America, . . People were all charmed with our dear brother Jenabe Fazel and who could help it! They also liked brother Ahmad tremendously; so many people complimented him on his fine diction and scholarly interpretation.

"The visit to the Chinese Labor Ass'n. conducted by the fine Japanese,

Mr. Geo. Kaburagi, was the most thrilling of all the meetings to my mind, but Laura is going to report this and other meetings.

"It is great that four different Cities in British Columbia were visited by this Flame of the Fire of the Love of GOD -- Jenabe Fazel. "ho could have expected such a victory!

"Dear Roy Wilhelm has been one of the seed-sowers here. Also I must tell you how delighted we were to see George Latimer at the station with the friends. His cheerful smile attracted many people and they all want to see him again. “oth he and Mrs. Luther will I hope be the real sponsors of British Columbia since they have been here at the spiritual birth of this part of Canada and live near enough to come here often,"

Mrs. Laura Luther has written about some phases of the great big beautiful work in Vancouver, and we quote from her letter as follows:

"The sun has been shining in Vancouver for a week in the visit of our revered teacher, Jenabe Fazel, and that excellent interpreter, Ahmad, it was remarked many times how the two seemed as one soul, so swift and exceilent was tne interpretation. The noon meetings held in the New Thought hall were always extremely interesting, and it was an especially good time for questions. ‘Some caueé

[Page 8]wii.

to all the meetings, showing their deep interest and that they were really attracted." One of she very lovely meetings which Mrs. Luther reports was the one arranged by our dear Mrs. Monroe at the home of Mrs. Bryan at Vest Vancouver. The radiant brother George Latimer accompanied the party and introduced the speaker. This was one of the most spiritual and heavenly meetings of the entire visit. Mrs. Luther's\ letter continued: "Dear Marion Jack had desired most earnestly to have a meeting for the Chinese and Japanese. We had seen the Chinese Consul, but he had Said that it was on the eve of the Chinese New Year and it would be almost impos-: Sible to get them together. However, a Japanese merchant heard somewhere that Jenabe Fazel will speak at Glencho Lodge, so he came to this mesting and was in-. tensely interested, and said he would arrange a meeting. He did so... . This meeting was somewhat difficult, for it had to be interpreted into English then into Chinese, The wonder of this meeting was the effect on the Chinese who interPreted. He was a young man, and his face just beamed as the talk continued. The light came into his face to such an extent that at the conclusion of the talk his face was radiant. He spoke with a zeal and fervor rarely ever seen. . . The response Was great. Nowhere in this City did it come as it did there. This interpreter told us that this was what he had believed always and longed to see established. The Japanese who arranged the meeting came for a long visit with us the next day and took the books and literature, all he could get. ...

"The heavenly visit of these two brothers came to a close all too soon, and we felt a great loneliness come over us as we bade them farewell. Yet we think of the new day that has dawned in this region. Too much credit cannot be given to that blessed confirmed maid-servant, Miss Marion Jack, who has been working so persistently and alone for a year, sowing the seed that will sre long bring forth a bounteous harvest. Also I owe deep gratitude to that dear daughter of the Kingdom May Maxwell, who made it nossible for this maid-servant to render such service as her limited capacity permitted. After having such a teacher as Janabe Fazel, we feel quite impotent, out our trvet is in the Beloved One YVho doeth whatsoever He willeth. "Every seed cast in this magnificent century will bear fruit" -- so just think of the abundance of blossoms and fruit which shall surely appear in the future from the heavenly seed planting of today!"

"The believers of GOD must become self-sacrificing and like unto the candles of guidance become ignited in the provinces of Canada. Should they show forth such a magnanimity, it is assured that they will obtain universal divine confirmations, the heavenly cohorts will reinforce them uninterruptedly, anda most great victory will be obtained." Abdul Baha.

A very encouraging news item has come to us this morning from Mrs. Maud Gaudreaux of Yonkers, N. Y., enclosing also a clipping from the Yonkers Record (the newspaper of that City which seems to be so very sympathetic to the Bahai Cause). The article is noteworthy indeed for it is illustrated with the picture of Abdul Baha and also quotes a recent Tablet. Mrs. Gandreaux's letter records most lovingly the splendid services rendered in Yonkers recently by Miss Emma Valentine of New York City who has been in Yonkers for several weeks. It is said she has accomplished more in that time than it would seam possible of achievement, save through the direct confirmations of the Holy Spirit. She has interested a fine young Rabbi of a Yonkers Jewish Reform Temple; and finally arranged for Mr. Hooper Harris of New York to speak to the assembled congregation of this Temple. Ths audience was a large and representative one, and after the talk they had a "Kiddish" or Feast where questions were asked with apparent good results. The Rabbi said that nothing had ever interested his congregation so much. Mrs. Gaudreaux is extremely happy over the progress of the work, for all of this service so beautifully prepares the way

for a visit from Jenabe Fazel some time in the future.

"The WORD of GOD is the only Promlgator of the Oneness of the world of humanity." Abdul Baha.

We are mailing with each copy of the Bulletin a little booklet puolished by the Unity Board on the subject of the Temple. It is hoped that the friends will

provide themselves abundantly with copies of this booklet so that it may be generously and generally shared. :

"The building of the Temple is the most important of all things. This is the spiritual foundation. For that reason it is the most important of all foundations. From that spiritual foundation will come forth all manner of advancement and progress in the world of humanity. Therefore, how great is its importance."
