I thought perhaps that Marguerite and I could tell all of you the thrilling and dramatic story about the fulfillment of prophecy from the sacred scriptures of the past which took place when Bahá’u’lláh came into the world. Let me give you a sample of the excitement we're about to share together. Prophecy:

[0:25] [Marguerite] Ezekiel, chapter forty three verse four: and the glory of the lord came into the house by way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east.

[0:35] [Sears] Bahá’u’lláh's name in English means the glory of the lord, or the glory of god and he did come to Israel from the east. All this has taken place in just a little over one hundred years. Imagine how the earth has shined with Bahá’u’lláh's glory. That's what Bahá, means glory. Prophecy:

[3:27] [Sears] Jeremiah says this would take place in the latter days, and where does Jeremiah say God will set his throne? In Elam, Elam was once part of the land which we know as Persia, Iran the birthplace of the Bahá’u’lláh and his herald the Báb. Bahá’u’lláh wrote many letters and messages to the kings of the world at that time too. He warned them that they would lose their kingdoms and their power if they did not do the work of God and protect their people. Well they did not, and their kingdoms were destroyed.

[3:58] [Marguerite] You can read that story or hear about it in a book called The Promised day is Come, the kings were punished because of their own heedless actions just as Bahá’u’lláh said they would be.

[4:10] [Sears] There are other books written about this dramatic story of the Bahá’u’lláh's letters to the king's too, you can read them yourself or have someone read these marvelous stories to you. Kingdom after kingdom falls exactly as foretold by Bahá’u’lláh and by the profits of old. It happened as Jeremiah said it would happen. In the day when god would set his throne in Elam of Persia and would destroy the wicked rulers. Now, let's examine a few prophecies from some of the lesser known books. Prophecy:

[4:42] [Marguerite] And then from the sunrise God shall send a king who shall gave every man release from the bane of war. Nor shall he do these things by his own counsel but in obedience to the good ordinances of the mighty god.

years to come this is what christ told us this is what we should look for when the gospel has preached in all the nation then he christ would return to work in the years of the eighteen forties christian bible scholars became very interested in this prophecy they were convinced that by the eighteen forties the gospel of christ had already spread around the world so christ should return any Return, in fact, is a major theme of the whole book. Revelation also speaks about the times of the gentiles, and tells us when the times of the gentiles would be fulfilled. Listen, prophecy, revelation, chapter eleven, verse two. But the court which is without the temple leave out and measure it not for it is given unto the gentiles and the holy city shall they trade under foot for he and two months, forty and two months is three and a half years or twelve hundred sixty days. In those days, you know they used the lunar calendar and the year was three hundred sixty days not three, sixty five so far in two months makes twelve hundred sixty days. The christian by the scholars who are studying about the return of christ in those days agreed that in bible prophecy a day is taken to mean a year. Thus these bible scholars took twelve hundred sixty days to be twelve hundred sixty years. At the end of that time, at the end of one hundred sixty years, the times of the gentiles would be fulfilled. So says the book of revelation these air christian bible scholars, mind you not behind you will find their reasons for using a day as a year in prophecy. In the bible, you can find it in the book of numbers fourteenth chapter, verse thirty four and again in ezekiel fourth chapter six verse and so we won't go into the details here. You could study that for yourself. And do you know what the year twelve sixty of the muslim calendar is identical with the year eighteen forty four of the christian calendar ? Think of that in that same chapter of numbers mentioned above. Verse twenty one the lord says, but as truly as i live alone, the earth shall be filled with the glory of the lord. And that, of course we know, is the meaning of Bahá’u’lláh name when translated into english, the glory of the lord, or the glory of god, and so that's the times of the gentiles was ended, and the second promise of christ was fulfilled with the exactness of the stars in eighteen forty four so already we see that two of the promises which christ himself gave to his disciples we're fulfilled in a beautiful and marvelous way by the year eighteen forty four that brings us to the third promise of christ, yes. That brings us to the third promise of christ. Yes, what about the third promise of christ ? We find this promise in the book of matthew, when pressed the cycles, asked him, what shall be the sign of that coming ? Jesus told them this, and this is christ. Third, clear promise. Prophecy matthew, chapter twenty four, verse fifteen. When he therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by daniel the prophet stand in the holy place, who so read it. Let him understand daniel in chapters eight through twelve deals with both the first and the second coming of christ prophecy. Daniel, chapter eight, verse fourteen and he said unto me, under two thousand and three hundred days is then, shall the sanctuary the claims ? These things, daniel said, would take place at the time of the end. Then you'll described it as a time at times and at the time or in the language of prophecy three and a half years a time is a year of times, two years and half a time happier or three and a half years, and what does that make ? It makes forty in two months, or twelve hundred sixty days. Again, daniel and chapter eight is prophesized that twenty, three hundred years shall pass before the sanctuary shall be cleansed. Following this time, all things will be made pure again. Before this time, the people would have fallen into a state of abomination without love for god or man, and they would be troublemakers, hitters of their fellow men, all of the things we see in the world today. But after twenty, three hundred years, the sanctuary would be cleansed and the hopes of men would be restored once again. Then your links christ on behalf of a lot together. Let us now turn to the gospel of john prophecy john, chapter fifteen, verse twenty six. But when the comforter is come, when i will send them to you from the father, even the spirit of truth which proceeded from the father, he shall testify of me Bahá’u’lláh did just that he wrote often of christ lovingly, tenderly moving Bahá’u’lláh told the christians that he Bahá’u’lláh was that comforter. Listen to just a few words which Bahá’u’lláh has written about christ. Remember Bahá’u’lláh was exiled like abraham. He was stoned like moses. He was scourged like christ. He was weighted down with hundred pound chains. He was driven from city to city and persecuted almost all the adult years of his life for nearly half a century. But how long was two times too three times in prison and four times exiled he suffered dreadful persecutions and four countries in two continents. Imagine that the huddle i wrote.
